1. Who We Are

Punkham Mayhem is a free browser-based game developed and operated by Chris Nwasike trading as Punkverse World Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria. The game is accessible at punkham.punkverse.world.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the game. By loading the game in your browser you are agreeing to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.

2. Acceptable Use

Punkham Mayhem is here for everyone to enjoy fairly. Here is what you may and may not do:

Violations may result in your scores being removed from the leaderboard and your IP address being blocked from accessing the game. Serious violations may be referred to law enforcement.

3. No Cheating or Exploits

Fair play keeps the leaderboard meaningful for everyone. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Score manipulation - intercepting, modifying, or replaying network requests to submit false scores.
• Automation - using any software, script, or tool that plays the game on your behalf or at superhuman speed.
• Memory or storage tampering - editing localStorage, browser memory, or any client-side values to gain an advantage.
• Exploiting unintended behaviour - knowingly using bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics to achieve scores or progression not reachable through normal play.
• Coordinated cheating - organising with others to manipulate rankings, flood the leaderboard, or undermine fair competition.

4. No Reverse Engineering

The source code, logic, and systems behind Punkham Mayhem are proprietary. You may not:

• Decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer any part of the game
• Extract, copy, or reproduce game assets - including sprites, audio, animations, maps, or data files - for any purpose outside of personal gameplay
• Attempt to reconstruct the server-side logic, anti-cheat system, or scoring algorithm
• Create derivative works, clones, or modifications of the game without prior written permission from Chris Nwasike / Punkverse World Ltd
• Access the game through automated means (crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers) other than a standard web browser

5. Intellectual Property

Everything you see and hear in Punkham Mayhem belongs to us. That includes - but is not limited to - the items listed below.

No part of Punkham Mayhem may be reproduced, distributed, sold, sublicensed, or used to create derivative works without the explicit written consent of Chris Nwasike / Punkverse World Ltd.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership or licence rights to you beyond the limited right to play the game in your browser for personal, non-commercial enjoyment.

6. Leaderboard & Display Names

When you submit a score to the leaderboard you choose a display name that becomes publicly visible. By submitting you confirm that:

• The display name does not contain offensive, hateful, or illegal content
• It does not impersonate another person, brand, or public figure
• You are not using it to advertise or promote any product or service
• You understand that your display name and score are visible to all players

We reserve the right to remove any leaderboard entry at our sole discretion - including entries that violate these rules, result from cheating, or that we deem harmful to the community. You can request the removal of your own entry at any time by emailing us.

8. Right to Modify or Shut Down

Punkham Mayhem is a live game and things change. We reserve the right at any time and without prior notice to:

• Update, change, or remove any game feature, mechanic, or content
• Reset the leaderboard (for example, after a major update or season end)
• Modify these Terms - we will post a notice in the game for at least 14 days before material changes take effect
• Suspend access for individual players who violate these Terms
• Permanently shut down the game or take it offline

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Punkham Mayhem and all related content are provided without warranties of any kind - express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The game will be error-free, secure, or continuously available
• Defects will be corrected within any particular time frame
• The game or its servers are free of viruses or harmful components
• Results obtained from playing the game will meet your expectations

Your use of the game is entirely at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chris Nwasike and Punkverse World Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of - or inability to use - Punkham Mayhem. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of scores, lost data, or lost game progress.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the game shall not exceed zero Naira (₦0), since the game is provided entirely free of charge.

11. Children

Punkham Mayhem is not intended for children under the age of 13. By playing, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

If we become aware that a player under 13 has submitted data to the leaderboard, we will delete that data promptly.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Lagos State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the game shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos, Nigeria.

If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those local protections apply to you in addition to these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change - for example, adding a new restriction or changing how we handle leaderboard data - we will post a notice inside the game for at least 14 days before it takes effect and update the "Effective" date at the top of this page.

Continued play after the notice period counts as your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with a change, please stop playing and contact us.
